AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
The park is located only 230 km away from Nairobi to Meshanani gate. It lies close to the Tanzania boarder enabling magnificent views of the snow-capped mountain Kilimanjaro.
Elephant herds will usually be seen grazing in an unusual swamp habitat.

Biodiversity
Mammals include: Elephant, Oryx, Cheetah, wildebeest, gerenuk, Impala, and Grant’s gazelle.
Birds: There over 425 bird species in the park.

Accommodation
The warden’s Guest house has 3 bedrooms; the 1st bedroom with 1 double bed and 1 single bed; 2nd bedroom with 2 single beds; 3rd bedroom with a single bed. The guest house has one bathroom with bath, shower and WC, an open-dinning area, a fully furnished sitting room, well-equipped kitchen.

Open: daily, 6:00am-7:00pm including pubic holidays.
Note: No entry is allowed on foot.
Visitors will not be allowed entry after 6:15pm.
Entry
Entry is by smartcard only.
Cards can be obtained and loaded at Meshanani gate.

Provided
Electricity (by generator 7 pm to 9 pm), caretaker, bed linen, pillows, blankets, towels, soap, toilet tissues.

How to get there
By Air: The Park has an Airstrip
By road: From Nairobi the most popular entrance is the Meshanani main gate via Namanga at Tanzania’s boarder.
• Nairobi-Namanga, take a 165 km route; drive a 65 km distance from Namanga to Meshanani gate.
• Via Tsavo-west national park; there’s a road linking Tsavo West Park to Amboseli national park accessing Amboseli through Kimana gate.
