Tsavo Safari, Tsavo West National Park

TSAVO WEST NATIONAL PARK
“The Ancient land of Lion and Lava”
The park is renowned for the Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Cheetah, Rhino, Elephant, Crocodile and 600 recorded Bird species.
The park is strategically located to enable spectacular views of Mountain Kilimanjaro and Chyulu hills.
While at Tsavo west national park, you can easily visit Ngulia Rhino sanctuary, Mzima springs Shetani lava flow, roaring rocks, Chamu crater and poacher’s lookout.

How to get there
By Air: The Park has an Airstrip near Kamboyo Guest house.
By Road: There is a well-maintained and signposted network of roads suitable for 2WD all year round. Drive for 232 sq km from Nairobi off Nairobi-Mombasa road, via Mtito Andei gate, accessing park headquarters.

Accommodation
Kamboyo Guest house; stands in its grounds with magnificent views across the park.
It has 4 bedrooms, master bedroom with 2 single beds, 1 double bed, second bedroom with 1 double bed and 1 single bed, third bedroom with 2 single beds, fourth bedroom with a single bed.

The Guest house has an open-plan dinning area, well-equipped kitchen, spaciously furnished sitting room,2 bathrooms; one is an ensuite to the master bedroom and an outside shower in the courtyard.
Lake Jipe Bandas
Located in the far South-western corner of Tsavo West National park; 350sq km from Nairobi and 35 sq km south of Taveta.
There are 3 simple one bedroom Bandas, each with 2 single beds, located at the lake shore.
Bandas have communal washing facilities with shower and WC, communal dining area and kitchen.

Note:
The park is open daily, 6:00am-7:00pmincluding public holidays.
No entry is allowed on foot and visitors will not be allowed entry after 6:15pm.
Entry is by Smartcard only; cards can be loaded at Mtito Andei gate, however no cards are obtained here.

Provided
Management offers electricity, Kerosene lamps, pillows, Blankets, bed linen, mosquito nets, towel, toilet tissue, soap.

Entry
Entry is by smartcard only; cards can be loaded at Mtito Andei gate, but not obtained.

How to get there
By air: there is an airstrip near Kamboyo guest house.
By road: There are several park gates, the most popular being Mtito Andei gate, 232 km south-east of Nairobi off the main Nairobi-Mombasa road.
