as shown in the map is the second largest continent on Earth. The continent covers an area of 11,668,545 sq. miles and is bound by the Indian Ocean in the southeast; the Atlantic Ocean in the west; the Mediterranean Sea to the north and the Suez Canal and Red Sea in the northeast.
