Guinea, sometimes referred to as Guinea-Conakry is a country in West Africa. It shares with six countries; Guinea-Bissau, Senegal, and Mali in the north;and in the south with Sierra Leone, Liberia and Ivory Coast (Côte d’Ivoire). Niger River is the principal and  dominant water body in the country and runs across the mainland eastwards.
The highest point in Guinea, Mount Nimba is over 1750 meters from the sea level. This mountain range is part of the Cote D’lvoire and Liberia. One can climb up the mountain or at least head up to the summit, which is easily accessible from the village of Gbakore. The mountain is quite steep and has winding trekking trails.
