Sibiloi National Park

Declared a National Park in 1973 by the government of Kenya, Sibiloi National Park is situated on the northeastern shore of Lake Turkana (one the largest alkaline lake in the world) in northernKenya. It covers an area of 1,570 sq km and lies at an approximate altitude of 375m above sea level.
The existence of such a distinctive bio-diversity and palaeontological sites make SibiloiNational Parkunique hence has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site (Listed in 1997).SibiloiPark is much renowned for its fossils.
