Marrakech Weather

The weather in Marrakech is nearly sunny year in year out punctuated with pleasantly warm summers and mild winters. The hottest months are July, August and September and feature the highest temperatures. Most times the temperatures are unbearable and range between -1.5 to 31.6 (Celsius). However, if you don’t mind the heat, summer presents the appropriate time to visit if you want to see the Marrakech Popular Arts Festival in July, which attracts folk singers, fortune tellers, snake charmers, fire swallowers, and more from all over the world. You can also catch a Berber marriage-festival, aptly named the Imilchil Marriage Feast, where forty couples tie the knot in the Middle-High Atlas Mountains. Temperatures in the mountains are often a few degrees cooler.

Winter months are common with heavy downpours of rain, which at times leave streets of the old town very muddy, with nights becoming quite cold. Rainfall varies from 18.0 to 276.0 (mm/month).

Spring months (March to May), have temperatures ranging between 73-84 degrees Fahrenheit and soar in the 80s during the early part of fall. Autumn months (September to November) offer the best times to visit Marrakech and neighboring areas. During these months, the weather is so pleasant for safari walking to attractions.

Therefore if you plan a Marrakech travel, the best time is not during the summer; spring and autumn are the best months to visit this bustling capital city, however there are popular, not-to-miss events during all the seasons. Therefore take your pick!
