Mohammed V International Airport

Mohammed V International Airport is located in Nouasseur, a suburb 30 km south-east of Casablanca an airport operated by ONDA (National Airports Office). This is the busiest airport in Morocco with over 6.2 million passengers passing through the airport in 2008. The airport is the hub of Morocco’s flag carrier Royal Air Maroc, Air Arabian Maroc, Regional Airlines and Jet4you. It was named after King Mohammed V of Morocco.
This Casablanca Mohammed V located Airport was originally built by the United States in early 1943 during World War II as an axillary airfield for Casablanca’s Anfa Airport and was named Berrechid Airfield. The airfield handled various military transports as a stopover en-route to Port Lyautey Airfield or to Marrakech Airport on the North African Cairo-Dakar transport route.

 Money and communications: There are banks with bureau de change facility, ATMs and a post office. Telephones can be found throughout the airport.
 Eating and drinking: There are restaurants and cafés throughout the airport.
 Shopping: There is a shopping centre in Departures and there are various duty-free shops in Arrivals and Departures.
 Airport Hotels: Casablanca Mohammed V Airport has two airport hotels, the Atlas Hotel which is a 3 star hotel owned by Atlas Hospitality (a subsidiary of the Royal Air Maroc Group) and a hotel inside the transit area of terminal 2 which offers rooms for shorter periods exclusively for transiting passengers. Other Hotels include; the Crowne Plaza Casablanca, the Hyatt Regency Casablanca, the Idou Anfa Hotel, Le Royal Mansour Meridien and the Sheraton Casablanca Hotel and Towers.
 Other facilities: An ambulance and first aid facilities are also available. There is a pharmacy on the first floor.
There are two lifts in Departures and two in Arrivals. Wheelchair transportation can also be provided between the aeroplane and Arrivals/Departures; passengers requiring wheelchairs and special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel.
• Conference and Business Facilities; Fax, photocopy and internet facilities are available in the small business centre in the main hall. There are no conference facilities at the airport, however there are available in hotels at and around the Airport.
