Nigerian petroleum is the most essential resources of Nigeria. Alongside other mineral products such as natural gas, oil is found in plenty in Nigeria. Nigerian oil is very much in demand throughout the country and the world. Due to the growing population of Nigeria, the demand for oil and petroleum products have increased enormously. Oil in Nigeria is utilized to a much greater extent than any other mineral product. Almost 58% of oil is used up within Nigeria as domestic consumption. The rest of the Nigerian oil is exported to other foreign countries, which generate a huge amount of revenue.
Oil Refineries
The plentiful existence of natural oil in Nigeria has resulted into the establishment of many oil refining centers across the country. The Niger Delta Oil Refineries are famous all over the world. These oil refineries are extremely proficient at producing quality oil. The International Refineries of Amakpe is pretty prominent and deals with the business of crude oil. It is an American company that is doing great business in Nigeria. It is one of the oil refineries that transform crude oil into petroleum products. There are three oil refineries in Nigeria namely the refinery at Port Harcourt, Warri and Kaduna.
