Wildlife

One of the several butterfly species
The greatest problem of Fazao-Malfakassa National Park is the hunters who have made a significant impact on the number of wildlife in the Park particularly Chimpanzees. It is believed that chimpanzees are now extinct from the FMNP. Most of the animals have been killed or are still being killed by the local population. However, there are still a few animals. Tourists to Fazao-Malfakassa National Park can still manage to spot some monkeys; reptiles mainly crocodiles (commonly the small species) and antelopes. There are also plenty of butterflies and plenty of termite mounds.
