Fosse aux Lions National Park
Established as a reserved forest in 1954, Fosse aux Lions National Park extends over an area of 1650 ha. It is situated in relatively dense settled areas and was gazetted with the objective to protect over about 60 elephants on the Dapaong plain.
Wildlife
Other species found here include patas monkey, warthogs and vervet monkey. Antelopes are also found in small numbers. Antelopes are also found in small numbers. Much as few elephants are regularly seen in a few forested areas of Fosse aux Lions National Park, none are believed to reside there permanently.
