This is a civilian Airport in the town of Arua, Uganda. It is the second busiest airport in Uganda, behind Entebbe International Airport.
The Airport is near the town of Arua, approximately 350 km northwest of Kampala, Uganda’s capital. The coordinates of Arua Airport are 03 degrees 02 minutes 50 seconds north and 30 degrees 54 minutes 44 seconds east. Arua Airport is only 19 km from Uganda’s border with the Democratic Republic of Congo and about 32 km from the border between Sudan and Uganda.
Arua Airport has an elevation of 1,204 m above sea level. The Airport’s single unpaved runway measures 1,700 m. Its strategic location makes Arua Airport an important hub for both passenger and commercial air traffic between Uganda and her immediate neighbors Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Airport news
On July 9th, 2009, the Civil Aviation Authority of Uganda which operates Arua Airport publicly announced that it had started to upgrade the airport to International standards. A modern airport terminal with a capacity for 200 passengers will be constructed. In addition to tarmacking the surface, the runway will be widened from 30 m to 45 m. It will also be lengthened from 1.8 km to 2.5 km. These improvements are part of the efforts to improve the Airport to International standards.

Entebbe International Airport is the chief international Airport in Uganda. It is located near the town of Entebbe, on the shores of Lake Victoria, of and about 35 km from the capital, Kampala. The main offices of the Civil Aviation Authority of Uganda are located at the Airport.
The current passenger terminal building was constructed in the mid to late 1970′s. The Old Entebbe airport is now used by Uganda People’s Defense Forces and was the scene of a hostage rescue operation by Israeli Sayeret Matkal, named operation Entebbe, in 1976 after an Arab-German hijacking of Air France Flight 139 out of Tel Aviv.
In late 2007, a domestic terminal was constructed at the site of the old airport, leaving the “new airport” to handle International flights exclusively. Entebbe International Airport served 720,000 International passengers in 2007.
Soroti Airfield
Airport Description

Location; Soroti town
Soroti Airfield is the training base for the Soroti Flying School and provides training through instrument and multiengine ratings. The flying school has lecture rooms, dormitories and food service. The airfield is within Soroti town. The runways and apron are tarmac and can support aircraft up to business jet size without damage to the surface.
