Queen Elizabeth National Park
Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the outstanding wildlife sanctuaries of Uganda. The park has recently been designated a Biosphere Reserve for Humanity under UNESCO. The park spans an area of over 2000 sq km and hosts an amazing eco-system; Fifty-seven vegetation types have been identified though these can be summarized as just five: forest; grassland; bushy grassland; Acacia woodland and swamp vegetation.
It is home to various national park animals such as the elephant. lion, leopard and the antelope.
More that 560 bird species will be found here in the wilderness. You will find one of the East Africa’s best kept secrets at Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Hippopotamus, rare giant forest hogs, advarks, elephants,Uganda kobs, Crocodiles, African rock python, monitor lizards, topi, buffaloes, bushbucks, waterbucks, bush pigs, and warthogs, lions, hyenas, civets, Nile spitting cobra, buffer adder, black mamba, Gabon viper, green snakes.You may also see: leopard, , porcupines, pangolins,
You will find 10 primate species including chimpanzee, red tailed monkeys, black & white colobus monkeys, olive baboons and the vervet monkey species. You will also see some noticeable predators such as the king of the jungle, the lion,side stripped jackal , leopard, spotted hyena, and also antelope variants like water buck, bush back, topi, oribi, sitatunga . Lastly, expect the four duiker species, not forgeting the prominent mammals like the elephant, buffalo, hippo and mangoose.

Apart from the game drives in the park, a launch trip on the Kazinga Channel will give the biggest opportunity to watch various wildlife on the banks. Imagine large herds of hippos, the crocodiles, buffalo and variety of bird species! You will occasionally see the leopards.
